I apologize on this topic I posted seems I overreacted towards some poeple..and no its not a 12 step program haven't drank in 35 years.

I can understand you getting upset at the drinking comments if it struck a nerve. My Dad was notorious for impaired driving and getting away with it back in the day till he nearly killed himself after ditching their then new car while sh!t faced. A few years later my sister was in with an impaired driver than a second impaired driver hit them and she was killed at 17 years of age. I?ve drank as a young man my share too and there was likely a few times I?d have been over the limit behind the wheel. I no longer drink period and sometimes people get offended when they are having a few at social times and I kindly refuse ,if I have to be blunt and spell it out I do and don?t care what they think.

Use caution buying new sediment bowls. I have bought a few in the past couple years and while they look good in pictures they are absolute junk from China. I have one that I couldn't even make work without massive leaks due to terrible mating surfaces. I ended up using a cartridge style filter since the tractor had a fuel pump so I didn't have to deal with gravity fed issues.

Don't worry about it.Everyone has bad days. I gave up drinking seven years ago. Doc gave me a choice. Keep drinking and die. Or stop and live a few more years.

You could take a glass bowl and drill a hole in it at the bottom, and epoxy a fitting/valve into the hole. There are fuel resistant epoxies. Using a Dremel tool with a carbide burr, you could taper the inside of the brass so it was contoured to the bottom of the bowl. Making the brass snug in the drilled hole makes it sturdy. I think a bowl like that would have retail value. I understand your irritation at the responses you were given. The first post I made on here concerned a price I gave as an estimate of value for a Farmall H. (I left my Email open, and I got a scathing very profane, long Email regarding things way beyond the accuracy of my estimate. I was very close to never posting to this forum again. I now have over 35000 posts to my name. Good luck, Jim

William Money also said...."Deserves got nothing to do with it."
Gotta love Clint Eastwood movie quotes. LOL

Ive always enjoyed and respected your replies..keep it up..the sediment bowl idea of yours is a good idea the amount of moisture is so minute but injection pump guy said it is what ruined my Roosa Master pump (rotary).

I am not pointing a finger at anyone with what I am about to say, this is a quote I read the other day. Most of us know Pat Sajac (sic) had a surgery and Vanna subbed for him for a week. Vanna was very nervous about taking the challenge but she went ahead and followed through. After she said yes to the job Pat told her to not look at social media because there are people out there who live a miserable life and take pride in being critical of other people. These folks WILL find fault with what we are doing or with what we say.

Oh by the way, I never thought about a water drain in a sediment bowl. I think it would be handy. Simply draining the bowl would be a lot easier than trying to seal up that pesky gasket after the bowl has been removed and dumped.

There are a lot of things said on forums that would never be said to the face of the individual.
Also on some forums sometimes kids pose as older people --- I guess just to see if they can do it
or perhaps it makes them feel important-- who knows. A smart 10 year old can look up stuff on the
internet ( or perhaps ask there dad or older brother)and sound like a seasoned member.
