Haha oh the holiday classics! I try to never miss the old black and white A Christmas Carol with Allistair Sims, not sure why I like it so much but I like to watch it.

My favorite is "Christmas in Connecticut" with Barbara Stanwyck.

Last year we saw "Meet Me in St. Louis" for the first time. It's not really a Christmas movie, but it's very interesting to see how upper-middle class Americans lived in the early twentieth century. The song "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" comes from that movie, but apparently they had to change the lyrics because the original movie version was a bit depressing!

I like to watch White Christmas with Bing Crosby,Vera Allen,Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney. It is a classic got to see for me.

My son pulled up an Amazon prime version of "It's a wonderful life" that has been colorized. Unbelievable. Soo many details now visible, not seen in black and white. Everything from facial expressions, to suit coat colors, ads a new element to the movie!
