The other day someone started a thread about Fruit Cake. I've been trying to find it, but can't find it anywhere. Anyone know if that thread got the axe?

I remember replying to it because I found a link to a Fruit Cake Cookies recipe and posted it. Now I can't find the image online that led me to the link! ARG!!

I know that place all too well.Every year my grandmother would buy 20.We would go pick them up. Then head back to Palmer. One year I got one for Christmas. It was soaked in RUM.The guys in my shop on the ship sure loved it.

If any of you guys get a fruitcake and don't want it, send it my way!! Warm it up in the microwave and put a scoop or 2 of ice cream on top, yum,yum! I didn't see the post, would like the recipe for the fruitcake cookies. Chris

For the money a Tastee Kake fruit cake is hard to beat,lots of 'stuff' in it.I hate dry fruit cakes that are mostly bready.

We have my Mom's old recipe, but I must say, it's a GREAT recipe!

I thought I'd found a pic online that showed top and bottom of what cookies looked like for that recipe, and they looked identical to ours. For the life of me, can't find that photo now!

Wife wants to be stingy with the recipe and only give it to "special people". *lol* I can send ours to your email if you like. :wink: ...She's already threatened my life about posting it online! :shock:

Is this bakery the one that does the Texas Fruitcake? If so its the one our North Dakota high school band sold to raise money for a band trip to Regina, Sk over 55 years ago. I was the 2nd highest seller.

Red ..... nope, that wasn't the one. I posted that back some time ago, and have chowed down many times since .... ha! The one in question had something to do with the term Fruit Cake in the title. I have no idea why it got zapped, I guess the first word can get minds working !!!
