I have a D17 Allis C that I bought a year ago. When you put the hand clutch in neutral it will still move unless you strongly apply the brakes. What might be the cause /problem?

Welcome to the forum. Look down the list at your previous posts of this question. You have replies to this in those. Use the reply button in them to discuss more, you will get no where just posting the same question. Your teacher's power director is working properly from your description. It is not a hand clutch as commonly though of.

I remember some drag with the Power Director in the middle position when I ran a D14 way back when, such that you had to brake firmly to stop it from creeping.

Normal especially when the oil is cold. A high quality 821 or equivalent hyd oil will help.

normal, i once loaded one on a trailer when it was 20 degrees, before i found it wasn't in gear.
