Hello all, I?m new to the forum and I?m seeking help on figuring out why my golden jubilee isn?t starting. So here here I?m at guys,

-Complete 12v conversion
-Its been converted to electronic ignition
-new spark plugs, wires, coil
-I have a blue spark to the plugs
-I think my firing order is right... so if your standing on the distributor side of the engine, number one on the cap is left to closet plug to you and my firing order is going 1243 clockwise.
-I?m missing a Rotor Clip but it will be here today
-the carb was puking fuel out of the throat until i adjusted the float and now it seems better.
- i have remove the tank and the air cleaner for now.
IMPORTANT- before when i had a different firing order it would make a HUGE AND VERY LOUD backfire through the intake and before that even it would run for about 30 seconds at very low idle and would not accelerate then die.

Thanks in advance

epending on how distributor was installed in engine, #1 wire on cap can be any one of the four positions. One can go thru procedures to determine which is #1, but for most it is quicker and simpler to try all four by lifting all wires and re-plug one position either cw or ccw and try start. Then one more position change, then one more, etc. On 4th position change you will be back where you started. Hopefully it will run in one of those positions.
