Can clip your toe nails while plowing, companies were innovative like that years ago! Lol
Looks like a fordson tractor with a winch drive of the belt pulley ----- come across the back and
appears to drives a wire rope spool that is centered on the left rear axel. Very compact set up! If
it ever flipped over back wards you would get tossed into all those gears and chains.

Takeup and letout under power, and a brake. It is all there but the nanny patrol. Jim
I wish some body had sprayed those weeds -- hard to see but looks like the control/shiftier lever broke and some body tried to fix it by wrapping wire around it -- which of course didn't hold-- must have been a Dr as he tried to put a splint on it. There is a safety shield on the left side so originally there were probably other shields. Funny as to how peoples minds work -- I am fascinated by the mechanism --- some body else is thinking of chocolate.
