what is up with New Holland?

Went to the New Holland dealer today; did not see one New Holland tractor on the spread; everything is 'Bota or Bobcat. They are still a dealer and I ordered parts for mine but it seems New Holland has lost favor. Is it so? I like mine very well. Michael

Our local New Holland dealer has a whole lot full of them. Massey's too ! Even a couple of small NH excavators. Also Fendts

Well, I wouldn't consider one dealership an accurate picture of the market in general.

Dealers stock what sells. What's selling are compact tractors. Kubota is the most popular brand.

With so few farms around there isn't much market for big tractors, and these days farms rarely impulse buy big tractors anyway. It's all planned out.

If it is like around here most regular farm equipment is not selling. Compounded by the fact that there are fewer farmers therefore fewer random opportunities for somebody to come along to buy something. Even as lean as the 1980's were there were enough farmers around that most dealers had a manure spreader and a mower conditioner waiting to be sold in those days.

Agreed. When a real farm buys a big tractor they get exactly what they want/need. They don't buy it because its what the dealership had on the lot.

here in wv there is verrry little suport from new holland from the dealers or new holland not like a few years ago.

Our local FIAT/dba NH dealership has several 500 to 600 HP Combine Factory Rostselmash tractors on the lot, and not a single NH.
