I have one hay field that lays parallel to the road with an entrance at both ends. A few years ago a large oak tree in the field died and I cut it up and buried the stump upside down with the backhoe. Fast forward to last summer. The dug out area sank in a little so I ordered a tri-axle load of top soil and dressed it up and seeded the area. The grass was coming on nicely until someone drove through it yesterday and squished mud everywhere and rutted it up. I have avoided putting up fences and gates because of constantly getting off tractors to unlock gates, both me and my neighbor who works the hay with me. Ellis
