Running this ground, and the hills I farmed all my life strengthend my nerves and my posteriors' muscles! Lol

One in particular, I imagine! "8^)

I grew up in Central Michigan, also pretty flat. If my Dad saw the places I take my tractor here in Maine, he'd have a conniption!

And glad I don?t have to run a pivot.

Two hills my wife doesn?t like plowing on she feels like it?s going to tip on her. They aren?t that bad, one I was cautious with the F combine, the L3 is wider stance no problem.

So I cured that a couple years ago, bought 20 acres with a steeper ridge in it. Ha! Drive up a good hill, crest, and there is a 20 foot drop on the other side, then a hill back down. That short drop is pretty thrilling, has to be a blast with the tall fertilizer rigs.

We've got some pretty flat land in part of Illinois but not as flat as that picture.

Our rainfall events seem to be changing though. We rarely get a slow soaker anymore. Mother Nature seems determined that we need at least one more state with a Grand Canyon. I guess it will save some easterners travel expenses once she has it completed.

I grew up in north-central Iowa, where my parents' farm and both of my grandparents' farms were flat like this. You could look across the landscape all the way to the nearest city almost 15 miles away.

My friend from Vermont will tell you it 'ain't no good farm land iffen it doesn't stand up enough you can farm BOTH sides". Sure is pretty scenery out there.

"You can stand up to pick strawberries" is a comment one of my co-workers made about this place.

On the flat, water or land, for a 6 foot person the horizon is about three miles out. A visual sweep around encompasses about 28 square miles.
