Just in case you did not notice, the operator of that tractor is running across the hill instead of up and down. That is the proper procedure to control erosion.
 
Looks like he might be in WA or OR where is hardly ever rains in the east end of the state. That would account for the hills

Right front wheel isn't in the furrow either. Now I don't know about big equipment like that but anything I ever plowed with had right side wheels in the furrow.

He is using an "on-land" hitch. Designed to keep the entire tractor on the land, and not in the furrow.

Yeah, I kinda thought after I posted that might be the deal maybe.
 
Why do you instantly think plowed ground is either going to wash away of blow away????
Here in the NE contour plowing controls water erosion nicely and there are plenty of
wooded areas and hedgerows to slow down the wind. Big fields here are 30-maybe 50A. We
don't live on the plains where you can't even see a tree.--------------Loren
