I have tied a old rag around a baby calf?s ears, and then wrapped the rag with duct tape to keep it from coming off. Holding those little baby ears against their heads, keep them warm so they don?t get frost bite.

We had a cow that had ears that had been evidently frozen at some time. We called her Chop. Really short ears.
