Farmall 504 gas engine to Diesel engine swap

Can you swap gas block out and put a d188 Diesel engine in, what all would I need?

A tape measure, to see if there both the same length, and a return line to the tank ! Is the Injection pump on the same side as the carb was on the gas engine ??

I do believe there is a vent on the backside of the gas tank that could be used as a fuel return line,but it would still need a vent(new cap)
