Used to be common practice around me for a business to give out a calendar near years end. That practice seems to be going away. It is only done buy a private family owned local business now days, chain stores seem to want to sell them! What is the situation around you guys?

Our Case dealer and Napa still give them out.
Tire outfit passes out calendars, both respectable, and questionable women ones.Ha

I did it for few years they do get expensive and you end up a lot times throwing quite few away have to order in large volumes, its just another advertise expense

First National Bank of Bastrop TX does. They even mail one to tractor owners who participate in the show the bank sponsors at the Bastrop County Junior Livestock Show. Thank you!

Calendars are becoming more difficult to find each year.

I can still get one at my CNH dealer and another at my Chevrolet dealer but need to ask for each. Neither has stacks on the counter anymore.

Calendars, like paper brochures, are expensive and businesses are nudging folks to the internet.

Several local places give them out. Local weld shop has a choice of cars, Tractors, trucks or girls. NAPA has cars, tractors and girls. The best is one my Edward Jones guy has. He is an avid outdoors type and a photographer sends out a "local" wildlife calendar. joe

The automotive machine shop I use gives out two different calendars too.pile of one on top of the counter, and the girlie ones under the counter. They're a nice bunch of guys, and
try not to offend any customers. Most of their business are repeat customers, and know just who to offer the under counter calendars to.The salvage yard here gives them out,and all
the parts stores here do too.The local Cat dealer used to mail me one,but I don't think I've seen one from them in a couple of years.I haven't bought many Cat parts lately,I
don't think I've spent $2000.there in the last two years.I don't really use a calendar, but my wife does.I just look at my flip phone.Gives me time, day, and date.

Years ago it was hard to find enough walls to hang all the free calendars on. And some were really nice. Now its rare to get one. The local Co-ops have them but usually I have to ask.

Our bank puts out a nice one with stacks on a table by the entrance, the 2 implement dealers and NAPA has several varieties but the really nice Classic Tractor calendar comes from a fertilizer dealer. We get well supplied from the National VFW, American Legion, Brittany Rescue League, Boys Town and the list goes on and on.

You are right on the nose with the price costs of printing. The size of the order is either too small and expensive or a lot of them with waste. Just can't win. Ahhhhhh remember those eye warming Snap-on toolbox decorations.

Take all the free ones you can!

My wife works at one of the bigger calendar advertising printers in the us. Business is down, keep her working!

She has worked on several mentioned in this thread.

I still try to get a bunch of the tractor picture ones from some of the local businesses. This year the JD dealer has a real nice one featuring 4020's. Some of the parts stores still provide them. The one we use in the kitchen for every day reminders has to have the spiral binding so it is easily flipped back and forth. I only buy the Case calendar that Mark Vos offers on the Case board and a tractor one at Menards.

Orscheln's, the Midwest farm supply store still gives them out free. I picked one up a couple of days ago. The local bank gives them out and the local coop elevator still gives out a nice one that has a different tractor each month of the year.

Yes less common now days. As said most years Orscheln's give them out but I have not look as of yet. Some places you have to ask for them like O'Reilly's. In year past it was common for banks to do that but I have not sen a bank one in years. Also my power company give them out each year

I used to get about a half dozen pushed at me but not anymore, did get one at the Chevy dealer yesterday with a quick lube. Used to like the Snap On calendars, still got a bunch of them around.

I got one from my Credit Union and one from my Insurance Company. I also got one for a political donation, beautiful lady in front of the White House (a guy standing with her). I'll be expecting one from a realtor and a car dealer.

I have about ten. local ace hardware, local lawn mower shop, Napa, tire shop, etc. even got one at a local diner.
veteran organizations sends them out.

All the girls on the calendars were a few years back crying with a skinned knee. I ran a welding shop and ruined my eyes from flash burns or looking at the pretty girls on the welding supply house calendars.

Calendars are a thing of the past. The only calendar I use is on my smart phone which can remind me of a Dr appointment.

I don't leave home without a smart phone.

Town of 900...funeral home and lumber yard sponsor the church calendar, fert coop still has tractor collector calendar and the small stick-em-up to use in the pickup. JD dealer quit this year so last year"s is the collector issue...Fewer businesses around now, so calendars are fewer.

My Credit Union has two, one has pictures of puppies and Kittens and the other is put out by Old Farmers Almaniac.
