6.0 diesel question

My 2004 F-250 with a 6.0 diesel will "kick" or stumble when in OD and under a load when the truck is cold. When it is warm, no problems. Basically if I am on the interstate and the truck is not fully warmed up and I come to an incline it will do this.

I have already replaced the ICP sensor as it was doing this kicking even when warm. The ICP sensor fixed this issue for a while the engine is warm. I have done a fuel treatment and oil treatment to try to rule out a sticky injector. The engine is not throwing any check engine codes for it either.

Thanks,
Brad

Could still be a injector with low
contribution. Mine was doing same thing.
Once it warms up it smooths out and runs
fine. No check engine lights. The test
scanner found number 2 injector was going
bad. Not to bad of a job to replace.

Thanks for the response. I don't have the fancy scanner to do a contribution test, just a standard OBDII reader and also a bluetooth OBDII reader with the Torque app on my phone. Guess I will bring it to the shop in town and let them diagnose it. I already replaced one injector, it completely shot craps. The small bolt that hold the top spool together lost its nut and it came apart.

It really sounds like sticky injectors, without a good scanner it's still a guess. What additives did you use, and did you change the oil? What oil are you using? Rev-X products are really good, a little pricey but one that is known to fix sticky 6.0 injectors. They also have a oil additive that prevents stiction, another known problem on older powerstrokes with HEUI injectors.

Nothing wrong with Hotshots, did the additives change anything at all, maybe a little better?? It still seems like an injector problem, additives don't always clear things up.

There are also a lot of other possibilities, without watching live data, and some other tests, it's too hard to tell. Turbo vanes/unison ring might be dirty and need to be cleaned. HPOP or other high pressure oil leaks, FICM issues. ICP sensor, EGR, EBP.
