Been there too many times and fell 3 times.
Once when I fell at Clemson and was really hurting, I went to the infirmary and the Doc looked at my back and said, "Man, you had a hell of a fall".

Short version with solid squiggles: the 1-1/2 inch drop to the next scaffold plank at the second story. Jim

Sept 9th, fell off a ladder. Broke 10% of my ball socket, broke part of the ball off my left arm, broken rib, collapsed lung, concussion and brain bleed. Fell from the 3rd rung onto a wood deck. I was just above the gutter. Now doing therapy on my left arm and shoulder. Not a fun experience. Not back to work yet.

I didn't even need a ladder last January... just fell off my feet onto and icy sidewalk and broke my humerus at the ball part, and chipped the socket.

The adrenaline rush a few moments afterward, was pretty intense. Couldn't even hold a glass of water some ladies gave to me... just started shaking so bad, the water sloshed all over the floor.

Was fortunate that I did not hit my head hard when I landed. Hip was very bruised but didn't break.

Don't care to ever repeat the experience.

Looks like the same heart rhythm that was posted of month or two ago about the cows getting out. I had forwarded it to my brother and titled the email ?cows are out,? an hour later got a phone call from him, said he just got in from frantically driving all around the farm, had took one glance at my email and thought I meant that his cows were out. We laugh about it now but at the time he was a bit annoyed.

I didn't fall off the ladder but I was up about fifteen feet with a full gallon of paint, went to come down and move ladder and my knee was locked up, couldn't raise leg up to step down, didn't want to drop a full can of paint, didn't want to try hopping down on one leg. Finally got it twisted around and loose. Worry about that every time on a ladder since.

Looked like my heart rate when I reached out too far nailing up soffit on a two story house over a driveway...ladder flipped over and I was clinging on the backside! Leo

On the lighter, just like my heart, looking @ biggest B H deer that I've ever seen in hunting SD BH in 60 years. Son spotted it. Unfortunately, he has doe tag only & I didn't draw this year! JAL-sd

mine was baling hay on a hillside watching the baler and the rear tractor tire on the up hill side climbed over a bale of hay.
