Just A Minute

A minute of drone pics and videos of the wheat field that is still standing (or laying) in the field. It was my best field. Only got a small percentage of hail damage in September. The trail through the middle is where I cut a swath through in October to test the moisture. It will make a handy trail for the deer hunters so they won't have to drive on the crop.
Even though the temp got up to thawing today there was no sun to melt the snow. Just fog and frost as seen in this pic from this morning of the McCormick Deering 15-30.

(quoted from post at 04:32:51 11/18/19) What will feed grade wheat sell for $$ ??
Last week it was $4.11 at Cargill but they were not buying tough grain. I don't know how much the discount will be for tough grain but I think it is realistic to expect less than $4 a bushel. I don't know how to justify the cost of drying it but guys are doing it.

Did the Deering 15-30 see any duty on the farm? That was the first model tractor I drove in the field @ about 12 yrs. old. I can still remember how hard it steered. Thought I'd died and gone to heaven when the JD R was purchased.

That old McCormick never worked on this farm but for a neighbour in the early sixties. It was used to pull a breaking plough when they were clearing bush land. Being on steel wheels made it preferable for the job. It was damaged when a log came up and cracked the steering column and bent the fender.
