I have a confession

I really didn't want another front loader. I already have 2 terramites.
Dealer was going to charge me a little more to remove the loader instead of ordering a new one. I wanted to do business with a dealer in town. He's located between my two places. jm may have tipped the scales by saying it would have a better resale with loader than without. I had a little time this morning so I went to the compost pile and stirred the compost.

Dang, it didn't take long to determine the Kubota loader is superior to the Terramite 's.

On the way to compost I heard a rattle. I thought of SV, it was my SMV sign rattling. So I put a glove behind the sign. Rattle gone. just like SV.

I'm using a pi ballast weight. It measures 2 ft diameter, 1 ft height. I didn't need a slide rule to determined the volume of the ballast is pi cubic feet

Sorry Larry, my terramites aren't going anywhere until Kubota makes a hoe that I can use without getting out of the cab.

I have no clue how the second pic of loader got posted.

Have you thought about using a chain from your top link on the tractor to hitch pins on the weight so your hydraulics are not under a strain all the time you have that weight on?
Richard

Richard I do not understand your comment. The hydraulics are in no way under a strain. The weight would be the same on the lift arms if the top link was completely disconnected. Using the top link as he has in no way puts the tractor in any strain.

Another satisfied customer.. Glad old George is smiling , nice to know folks listen.. Now I just have to get you to listen and get off the checkbook. Going to have to give yourself a set of quick attach forks for Christmas... LOL.. Have a good day and be careful.

I am thinking how I can consolidate my rolling stock.

What model, HP and price was that one?

I was looking at a 4066 JD with cab, but it is 50K.

You're right about the loader, George- I have an Allman backhoe/loader (like a Terramite, but a little heavier duty)- I do some farming, too, so bought a used Kubota MX5000 (50 HP, straight gear setup- no shuttle or hydrostatic)- Haven't used the loader on the Allman since.

3560 se. I want to retire Jubilee and have an AC lawn mower and a SNOW pusher.

I love the anti stall and feature that increases engine speed when I push harder on HST.

Is terramite cabbed?

At least you can drive there in the cab.

Those little teramites bring good cash.

David,
No cab. No getting off tractor. No climing over. No climbing up to sit on hoe's seat. No climbing off. No climbing over dirt again. No climbing up I cab again. All you need to do on Terramite is pull on seat lever and spin around. No need to get out of seat.

I used a Kubota hoe and learned I DON'T WANT ONE even as a gift.

area = 1/2 PI R squared, so 1/2 * 3.14 * 1 = 1/2 pi

1/2 pi * 1 ' high = 1/2 pi

That is what I get if R = 1 and H = 1

David,
I'm almost 71 and my brain isn't firing on all cylinders.
Circle
Solve for area
A=πr2
You made me look up area of a circle.

I have a pi weight.

I have had 4 older loader tractors I was never satisfied with any of them that's the big reason I brought a Bota HST... I have put around 150 hr doing loader work once I got the hang of it, its hard to beat...

It took me awhile to get around to adding a nice counter weight once I did it complimented the set up... I was using a 3 point spikier filled with water till it came off and I backed over it and poked a hole in a tie : (...
