I posted on the Ford site, but didnt get any help, I have a 2008 New Holland TC40D that wont move, it acts like the hydraulic pump isnt working at all. and if it sits a while running it will move a little ways and stop. It makes a soft banging noise on the right hand side by the electic Hi-Lo switch. I have changed all the filters but am at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading

Any help will be appreciated? Well it looks not. You just don't like the answers you got. Did you do the very least yourself and go buy a pressure gauge? It's not going to fix itself. No magic here.

I doubt its a striped shaft , it will work if it sits a while running,It acts like the oil isnt getting to the pump. but not for long, Showcrop, I have fixed a lot of tractors and
autos, I built a couple from the frame up, but I am lost on a hydrostatic drive, I will take the advice of checking on the oil, it did look a little milky, but not bad, When it
gets above freezing I will drain the oil. At my age it isnt easy crawling under a tractor, and when its this cold, its worse yet. Getting down is hard, getting back up is harder.

You shouldn't have to get under it to check the pressure.

I understand there is a screen under the platform on the right hand side that gets plugged, I will try that. I really do appreciate advice

Does this tractor have a valve so you can move it when it?s not running? My John Deere has a lever you pull so it free wheels.. Just a thought anyways. Maybe it got pulled by mistake and it?s bypassing
Cheers
