Hard to find tires

So I know some tire sizes are nearly impossible to find.

What sizes would those be?
What would be a fair price if you could get tires for a machine that other wise would be just sitting due to no tires?
Would tread pattern be super critical? My mind is just wandering

A piece of equipment is no good without tires so I guess it depends on if you really need the machine or not . I needed an 18.4.30 for the front of a 4wd tractor could not find one so I bolted a big rubber patch inside the tire so I cold keep using the tractor

So I needed 11.2-34 tires for a Massey 22. That is the most common size for that tractor. Now I know of someone that bought a set that size for his JD 40 and he said it was over $1500 mounted. I seem to think that changing tires is a good exercise. So at a local auction I bought just a carcass Massey 22 that had real good matching 11.2-34 tires on it. I saved a lot!!! I may just switch out tires and rims, unless I decide to paint the tractor.

Unavailability of special 8ft. tires was one of the main reasons that the Big Bud 747 was retired.

14-32 and 15-32. New versions of those tires are simply not made, and used are few and far between. I would be willing to pay plenty if they made new ones, but alas, it's not to be, for now at least.

My 1940 Minneapolis Moline GT has 15-32 rear tires, in case you were wondering what had that size.

I bought a little Kubota tractor in 1987 and Firestone was the only one that sold the 4.50x11 three rib tires for it. I replaced the tires about five years ago and had to order the tires I bought from California as it was the last place anyone could find that had them. Come to find out the tires I bought then even though they had never been used were old and the tires are going bad now. The sidewalls are cracked and leaking there. I'm either going to have to find a different size tire that will fit the rims or find some rims I can make fit the tractor.

my WD40 also has that size and cannot get. had to use 34 in. rim. on the other one I had 12.6 x 32 tires as that was the only thing available, but they are too small just spin out every time I tried it at the pulls. plus I had a W9 with 15x32 tires , early forty's model.

I passed on a Massey 22 due to the 32" tires and not being able to find any.

My grandfather had to park an Oliver 70 probably back in the 1960's because they couldn't get 40" tires, and the ones on it were so far gone they could not be patched anymore. We sold it for scrap at the estate auction in 1989.
