Ford Delays

Anyone know why the new Ford super duties are not getting released until Decemberish?

I called my dealer today to see what they had in case I wanted to shed some taxes, he said nothing.

Possibly cause they have too many 19 models so want to delay the release of new ones as long as possible to be able to sell those first

found this just surfing around, if you scroll down the page to super duty's, it looks like first of the year

Nobody can wait anymore I guess haha, I wouldn't consider it delayed until the beginning of 2020. Most of next years vehicles come out months ahead of their actual year though. In the '30's Roosevelt signed an executive order to have automakers release new models in the fall of the year before, no specific dates need to be followed.

The earliest release I remember was the 1997 F150, we had them at the dealer near the end of Dec 1995 and to be sold starting Jan 2, 1996. The EPA has a rule that new model vehicles can't be sold earlier than Jan 2 of the year prior to their date.

David,
I'm no CPA. I have seen businesses lease instead of buying. Claim they can write off lease where new truck has to spread out over X years.

Aren't some farmers leasing tractors?

My CPA thinks it best for me to deduct mileage.

When I was working, retired 15 years ago, I would have my CPA calculate how much I could invest in IRA to get max tax advantage. That may not be best for everyone.
It feels good to have my investments to pay for my Kubota and XT5.
Investing money is better than having gold and silver coins in a safety deposit box. Or have money in bank saving account.

Put your money to work. Maximize your deductions. You may want to retire someday. Come up with a plan that works best for you.

Wonder if the F-150 5.0 engine delay has anything to do with this problem? Owned mine a little over a year. Long block replaced and the replacement engine using a little more oil than the one removed. From complaints on the internet some 2019 still had problems. Picture not to clear.

That is certainly not the case , go try to find you a really loaded up f250 diesel four wheel drive, pickins are slim if you get up in the higher end trucks.

I bought new 97 150, SWB,Reg Cab V6 in Feb 96. I had a 94 Supercab long box 4wd 150 but wanted a small town truck.Turns out there really wasn't a 96 150 Ford sold a lot of 95's for 18 months.but the 96 was late off the line so they called it a 97.
