I filled wash tub with concrete. Tub is 1 ft tall and average radius of 1 ft.
Do the math and this has a volume of pi, 3.14 cubic feet. Weight a little more than 450 #

Planning to use this for real ballast. Post pics when I get the device completed.

At home, there is a 55-gallon plastic drum that is full of concrete on 3 point hook up. guesstimated to be 1100#. We use it to counterweight our 5610 Ford when moving large logs around. works nicely.

My dad made this in the early 60s. I bolt went thru the draw bar to hold it center and acts as a pickin point. I have no clue about wieght, but I know its heavy.

Here is one I made for my tractor with Cat. II three point. It works great. For future needs in case one needed extra ballast I added a piece of flat stock for hanging suitcase weights.

I made this for neighbor.

Moved to back as much as possible.

I'm starting out with less weight..

My rear loader tractor tires (16.9 x 28) are 85% full of beet juice. I think the weight is around 1800 lbs. Makes a world of difference.
