I need to know if there is a trick to replace the bushings in the vertical casing in order to line up the hole in the new bushing with the grease fitting hole. also if there is anything else I need to know the thrust bearing seems to be good. the reason I'm replacing the bushings is because the left wheel was wobbling quite bad as I was in road gear. Hopefully I am not over looking anything. Thank you .

Never done one on a 300, but most bushing have to be reamed after they are installed.

They can be very tight, need to be pressed in with the proper tool to keep them straight. Trying to beat them in will mushroom the end.

How are the spindle shafts? They usually are worn where the bushings ride, and will also need to be replaced.

Often a job best left to a shop with the proper equipment, like a heavy truck shop. You can take the axle, bushings, and new spindles in, they size the bushing to the spindle.

I have had good luck on other applications by drawing the bushings in with all thread and various size washers and or a lathe made pilot. Eyeball line up where the oil hole goes and then slow and steady draw them on in.

THANK YOU Jim, I was thinking about doing just that but wasn't sure. so the hole would have to be a much smaller hole, as I will have to go threw the zert fitting. Right ?

Only ones I ever replaced were on a Ford and did not need reaning. I did not even know what a reamer was then.
