Nothing runs like a Deere! You sure seem to do a pile of work with the old girl. Enjoy your pictures, much different up here in Canada.

It?s a good feeling except I wasn?t expecting the payment to be due until January but that?s ok Get it paid and not have to worry about it anymore

It it was made of recycled gum wrappers and tampons like the new ones I?d be worried but since it was built when quality actually meant something . That and I keep up on my maintenance

That?s a good feeling,

Some times it pays to borrow money and I think buying that tractor would be one of those times. Glad it worked out well for you.

I needed to build a little credit so I borrowed money to buy this sooner or later I?m going to need another one Ton truck and I will probably have to borrow money for it so I thought this would be a good idea the loan didn?t cost to much and right after I bought it the dairy went under so it?s a good thing I didn?t use all my reserve cash to pay for it up front. I hate payments to but sometimes it?s the best way

I agree if you need something to make you money its the way to go especially just starting out.Still I'm always glad to get rid of one.Not you but I think a lot of times people seem to
spend a lot extra when they borrow money for something when they wouldn't if they were paying cash.

Definitely it?s a lot easier to borrow money and sign your name than it is to spend green backs that?s for sure.

You work the snot out of that poor 3020! I wouldn?t have thought it would pull that much. Years ago our neighbors sure wouldn?t!
A good 450 gas would walk all over it.

Sounds like you are using the credit stuff wisely. A lot don?t.

Surprised you could get a loan so small on a piece that wasn?t running.

I have a relative that needs to be in debt as deep as he possibly can, he will get a bank loan to buy a $2000 snow blower at a farm auction. I guess the bank sees him as good income when you put all the small loans together so they keep working with him like that, me I don?t know how to find a lender that would do such a loan.....

I bought a $40,000 tractor at an auction this summer, had the cash in the checkbook. It was kinda odd to walk up to the auction window, write such a big check, and have a tractor, nothing else to it. That is about 3-4x as much as I?ve spent on a piece of iron ever before, and I?ve been planning and saving up for that for most of a decade now.

So it was big money and big deal to me, not a common thing here on this little farm! Tractor better last a decade or two for me......

Sure hope it stops raining and I can get more harvested and able to use the tractor this fall yet, sheez what a tough year.

I sure hope things will turn around for you ! I try and use credit the best way I know how I also don?t try to use much at a time so if the worst case happens I can pay the bill . This tractor ran when I bought it just not very well

I?m more frustrated about not being able to do a good job farming, than about losing anything.

Been 4 years of rain, it?s just gotten old trying to catch up all the time.

So many ha e it worse than me, or hard times dollar wise and so on, so I shouldn?t complain.

Just that day after day of feeling behind, it wears on a person.

Can?t wait for next year. :)

Paul

We almost never fight to much water it?s always not enough this year has been different though with More rain and snow than we?ve had in 40 years or more I heard on the left wing news that some parts of the country are in a flash drought whatever the hell that is! So I guess we?re in a flash wet ?!?!
