Earlier this year I lost my grandfather,
and due to the family having other ideas
for his place, I also lost a good portion
of my corn ground. So I decided to break
up a portion of my bottom ground that had
been pastured for at least 40 years. I
ripped it yesterday, and broke it today.
The clutch dog spring on the old #52 plow
broke 2 rounds in but luckily I had a
spring in the parts box. Managed to
finish the field in 3 hours and then disk
it in half that. The Cub was no match for
the fresh sod and had to use the 300 and
10' disk instead.
If every thing goes right, here are a
couple photos.
