WI auction results

Here are a few items sold today with prices. Very interesting auction. Very unique and old items.
Well, I just looked at my phone in the memo section... and all of my list is gone. I never use the phone to take notes and didn't know I had to press save. So all the tractor models and prices are gone. What I remember is:
Fordson in pretty good shape for never have been restored, just sitting in a shed, sold for $1,400 not running
That nice old Twin City model KT(?) very complete but very weathered $1,700
A couple of very old bigger JD sold for around $2,000. I can't remember the model. They were in same old shape like the rest but people really wanted them. Were they the D model? Sorry, I didn't try to memorize it all because I was writing it on the list on the phone that is gone. Many other JD models.
There was one tractor with a unique front end shape. It said Marion on it. I'll post a pic below.
One Hart Par.
One newer tractor a IH 560 that started great and had a loader and also came with a snow-pushing blade or whatever. ONLY $1,600! Isn't that cheap? I just couldn't believe that one.
One still-very-orange Case with a single wheel in the front.
Cute lighter weight JD with skinny steel wheels, really cute.
Several McCormick-Deering 10-20s and similar.
An Oliver.
Several old Internationals and Farmalls including F12.
AA Ford pick up truck. SO so nice and it runs. $6,600
Lauson Lawton gas engine made before 1917 $6,600
very old antique railroad baggage carts or so. One was damaged when they pulled it out of the dirt and had rotten boards and less paint $75. The other one in great shape $450.
Horseless carriage without the motor $450
My only purchase was a vintage range, brand new in the box but has been sitting in the barn since the 60s or 70s. Stove burners part is on the bottom and sits on a base (I'll have to build) and the oven is above so you don't have to stoop down to check if your pies are done. Has a fan and lights. Avocado green $5.00!
It was raining a very soaking rain and a steady 46 degrees until near the end of the auction. Very cold. Mud like I've never seen. Really, I mean MUD_DEE! If you stand in one spot too long your foot will be stuck. I saw several men half brown AKA they must've fallen down into the mud. Sale was right on a highway and nobody could drive down in there because of the mud, so it was a jam on the road with people trying to get through and us people trying to take our turn loading at the end of the driveway. This auction had such good old old stuff. Not any newer immediately usable farm equipment. A nice change of machine scenery.

Two of my acquaintances drove out from central Mn. They
bought some gas engines. They also said it was a virtual min
pit.

(quoted from post at 05:03:31 10/20/19) What did the old Allis crawler go for? I wanted to go but had other things we had to do. Randy
Sorry, Dahlin, I was watching from the barn door, out of the rain, them driving it around showing it off in the mud, and then I don't remember what happened if someone started talking to me or I went to see something else, but I didn't hear the bidding. Maybe someone else here on YT went and knows? I thought it looked like a great machine.

Thanks for posting this. Some unexpected
repairs changed my plans for the day, so
I didn't go.
Do you happen to remember what the 2 door
Galaxy brought?

I feel like a worthless reporter! No, I didn't watch the bidding for those vehicles over there. I took that time when they were selling that bunch to walk all the way back to the truck and turn the heat on high to warm up a little!

Well one thing is pretty clear: Wisconsin LOVES an old tractor! With the auction fees and the state collecting their share, the Twin City was just shy of 2 grand, starting to be serious money. At least for me. There must have been something extra special about that Fordson, because in my area they change hands for around $500. At the sale I went to, same day, an 8N that started right up, minute you pushed the starter button--and smoothed out to a nice idle, couldn't fetch $550. Lots of new parts on it. Of course the sheetmetal looked like it had been reworked with a jackhammer, so that might have had something to do with it. A good Farmall 640 on nice rubber, started and ran well, could barely fetch $1200. Looked like a really nice tractor, I would have bought it if I needed one. Sounds like collectors got wind of the Wisconsin sale and came ready to buy. A lot of old iron saved from the crusher. Looks like a sale I would have enjoyed.

Meant to mention, I like the last two pics--Donkey Face in his new duds, and the tractor with blade on front. You'd know you'd done a day's work after working that thing all day. I tried to get it right side up, but looks like it's sideways.

Donkey Face happy with his new outfit? Looks like he's dressed to go out to dinner, pretty fancy donkey!

Yes, he likes his harness. He just stood there yawning and that was the first time he had ever had a harness on.
