Reminds me of a jokes my Dad use to tell us as kids

If a farmer had "twenty sick" sheep and 4 of them died, how many would he have left? I would always answer 22. He would say. "No, 16 dummy" and laugh. I was about 15 before I caught the "twenty sick" instead of 26.

He also liked to ask the kids that visited and were not from farms: "If a rooster laid an egg on the top of a house, which way would it fall, North, South, East or West?" Then we would all laugh when they chose a direction....

Fond memories

I?ve got a couple neighbors that dabble in small time farming.
One of them purchased 50 pigs for farrowing. The other fella
has amassed quite a herd of goats. Well, the two neighbors
decided to combine their efforts and now they have a hundred
sowsandbucks!

Dad would ask "If a hen and a half lays an egg and a half in a day and a half, how long would it take a rooster sittin' on a sawdust pile to hatch out a 2 by 4"?

My Border Collie brought me my IPad and showed me Today?s Funny and I got it immediately.

Thanks, Jon
