Here is four of the more interesting cars at small local show yesterday. Ford pick up was redone very nice, Old open car was said to be a Buick but fellow drove it in from 30+ miles away. Large two ton was a runner from local farm, and Studebaker was earlier than I in that all I ever remembered of saw had an overhead v8 , this one had a flt head six cylinder.

Nice photos, Jm. Thanks for posting.

Studebaker used flat head six cylinder engines into the 1960s. IIRC, you could buy an early Studebaker Lark with a flathead six.

A friend of mine had a later model Lark with a 289 OHV V8. Nice little car.

News to me mother and dad had matching 1956 and they were both v8 and the city here bought NEW COP cars low bid in 1959 you guessed it LARKS , they were the laugh of the town. I looked at the 6 cy and really had never seen one exactly like it, not a continental or Chrysler for sure.
