Leaking front wheel seal

I have an XU6158U LS tractor with approx. 72 hours on it. Today I went to move some brush with the loader and found a leak on the right front wheel. After parking it and wiping the wheel and hub I checked in in about an hour and it is leaking about 2 teaspoons in that time. Any ideas what may have caused this? I will be contacting the dealer on Monday, it is under warrenty but the dealer is 60 mi. away and I will have to trailer it to them. Thanks in advance

The most likely causes I can think of besides a manufacturing/assembly defect (which seems likely with those hours) is either a bearing issue or baler twine around the axle damaging the seal. Good luck, Sam

I had a new Bobcat T190 track loader when I lived in Mn that I had trouble with at 25 hours. The Warranty said it had to be delivered to the dealer which was 170 miles away in Bemidji. Called the dealer and they sent somebody out and it was determined that the machine needed to come to the shop. The dealer came and picked it up and delivered it when it was done, no charge.

It sounds like you are describing a leak on the outer side of the wheel vs a leak coming from the knuckle on the inboard side of the wheel. Can you post a picture?
I have the same exact machine and it has been tight as a drum. It s now over two years old with no problems that weren t self inflicted.

3L Farms, I think your right, cant get a pic right now, but after looking this morning, it stopped, so only leaking when moving. Appreciate your comment

Thanks to all for the comments, I talked to the dealer shop foreman this morning. He thinks its either an o-ring or bearing issue, going to take it to the shop on Wed. Thanks again for the comments
