Won't be any dust like that in my neck of the woods for awhile, and NE North Dakota has 2 feet of snow in places, I would think any crop not harvested is lost.
 
We're near Bemidji, 100 miles S of the CA border, and a little E of MB. I have some relatives near Waskada MB, but they don't farm anymore. At one time they farmed over 4000 acres, but then they drilled a lot of oil wells, sold the farmland and retained the oil rights, seemed to work out for them. Their great grandfather moved there from Florence ON in 1882. I don't think the snow went that far west, but Winnipeg got hit.

I have a yearly spring fishing trip planned for next June. I stay on Big Turtle at White Pines Resort. Maybe we can get to gather next year and swap stories.
 
In the horse days, or bad winters, that was an asset. In the auto days, it is dangerous to kids and pets. Many places around us with a road between the barn and house. Maybe a 40 mph road. No kidding.
