Deka Batteries

Does anyone have any good or bad results with Deka batteries used in automotive vehicles, tractors or lawn mowers. Any remarks will be appreciated.

Can't tell you about lawn mower batteries, but Deka is one of the best battery manufacturers out there.
They sell their batteries under other names, especially batteries sold on the east coast.
If you have a chance to get a Deka battery, go for it.

I have bought Deka batteries exclusively for the past several years.

Have had good results.

After having used and sold Exide, then Deka, and now Interstate, I'll make this statement. You couldn't give me an Exide or a Deka!

I have had real good service out of them. I have 3 units with them. Went by the place where been getting them and they quit selling them. I have a son that works for parent company. They run batteries 24/7. Just build and shipped somewhere else to be filled and stickers put on.

7 plus year old Simplicity zero turn 50" had Delco made by Deka in it. start it & mow fine run it outside and shut off to fuel figure on charger or jumping it so I replaced it. This was like the 330 CCA version of mower battery.

East Penn, Deka, batteries are the best on the market. All others are just various qualities of Johnson Control (Interstate, AC Delco, Wal-Mart, etc.)

they always came in all my new mower inventory, very seldom did they leave in the unit after sold. even after charged again very seldom would get mower going in the crate let alone for the customer, needless to say I was not a fan of them. always had best luck with the exide stickered units

Here are some of the companies making lead acid batteries: B.B. Battery Co., Toshiba Corporations, C&D Technologies, Inc. (Acquired By KPS Capital Partner), Crown Battery, CSB Battery Company Ltd., East Penn Manufacturing, EnerSys, Exide Technologies Inc., GS Yuasa Corporation, Johnson Controls Inc., Narada Power Source Co. Ltd., Nipress (Indonesia), Northstar, Reem Batteries & Power Appliances Co. SAOC and Zibo Torch Energy Co. Ltd. are some of the leading companies in this market.

I looked them up, East Penn (DEKA) bought Voltmaster.

Interesting fact, the wife of one of my young engineers family owned Voltmaster, it is a small world.

i've had very good luck with their lawn tractor batteries.

generally get 4 years out of them. the napa or wallymart lawn tractor batteries are good for about 1 to 1-1/2 years only.

i've also had good luck with ACDelco's in my cars and have bought about 6 of them. cannot beat the price and they've held up well. warranty isn't too bad either.
