Ottumwa Harvest Days and plowing

Interesting.

When I was doing real estate inspections, a gal of ours in Shenandoah, IA suffered a broken leg in a car wreck. While she was laid up I went to Ottumwa and worked out of a motel for a week catching up some of her work.

I once had a bird dog named Farson. Guess you know where he was from. He was a gift from my good friend Leon Vaughn.

Roger, My friend and I marked the calendar. So we plan on coming down the 26th.

P.S. Roger look down in the implement forum. I am going to post about an issue I think you can help me with.

Radar refused to come to the MASH reunion several years ago. Guess he really did not claim Ottumwa as his own!

Leon was a fine guy. Smart as the dickens. We had a business relationship, that evolved into a hunting frieendship.
He loved to hunt pheasants (me too). Last I heard Wally was running the operation, but he is my age and perhaps the grandkids
are in charge now. Leon got me hooked on Springer Spaniels and I have owned and raised a bunch of them. Glad to share recollections a classy fellow. Also glad to know of someone that has been to Farson.

One of Wally's sons runs it now. They built a new facility few years ago.
I love to hunt pheasants, but not many around.
