I got two tractors that needs batteries both died about the same time wont even take charge the one has a interstate battery in it the other is a napa battery which one should I go with Rick
I buy most of my batteries from Walmart. They sell out frequently, so the inventory is always fresh, and the store is 5 miles from my house. The only store that's closer is Advance, and their batteries didn't last very long in my truck, so I'm not buying there anymore.(quoted from post at 12:54:57 10/07/19) I got two tractors that needs batteries both died about the same time wont even take charge the one has a interstate battery in it the other is a napa battery which one should I go with Rick
That's a popular internet tale, but it's not true.(quoted from post at 08:07:33 10/07/19) You'll probably get a lot of replies telling you that there are very few actual battery manufacturers left and most brands are simply tagged with a different labels from the same factory. I have no idea how you could track that or sort through the ratings to get one that is best. Perhaps some Googling will clear some of the stuff up.
(quoted from post at 07:06:25 10/07/19) We have an Excide warehouse close by. Used to buy their new store returns from them for $30 but found they just didn't last. They had box's of different brand labels that they slapped on the batteries depending on who was getting that particular shipment. Was at a trucking warehouse one time and they had a pallet of new batteries setting there. Got to talking to a mechanic and he told how when they came in the salesman would ask what brand they wanted and would put that label on them.
Excide is one of the three battery manufacturers.(quoted from post at 21:46:40 10/07/19) Seen them putting Case stickers on the batteries in an Exide warehouse one time.
