Battery Finally Died

The battery in my LX188 finally died. It was

in it when I got it years ago. I always put a maintainer on it over the winter.

Just changed the Ironside battery in my Oliver 880. It was 12 years old. Still working but, wouldn't hold a full charge.

I think it did darned well for a lawn mower battery.

Not too shabby. Seems the garden tractor batteries are most prone to crapping out. A maintainer is a huge help.

Coupe of weeks ago I pulled the cover off my Super C to check the fluid level. I figured the batt. must of been five years old and haven't touched it since, was surprised to see it was bought in sept. 2010. Farm/Fleet six volt, think the last one was 12 years old.

I have a 2004 Harley ,Heritage Softtail -- Yep it has the original Batt. But sad to admit it is on its last year -- Gonna let Me set somewhere if I push it to far ! It might help that the bike only has 16000 miles on it -- Roy

My lx188 is a 96 and still going strong. Battery is a rural king two years old. previously used Deka had good luck but they are too expensive now.

pull the plastic sticker off the top of the battery and check the water level. may still be some life in her.
