Hello,

New metal metering diaphram. Impervious to the new gas ethanol mix. Comes in a completele kit. Seems the answer to the ethanol problem.
Here is the picture of the diaphram,

Guido.

Hello

I should have posted in the tool forum. I guess there are tractors that use Walbro cabrs too,

Guido.

Wow, get a load of that. Looks like a psychedelic flower or a new type of Yin and Yan. I would guess those are very fragile. Lazer cut I bet. Let us know how it worked out.

So what am I seeing here?

And what does it solve?

I see more clogged passages, bad primer bulbs, bad fuel lines than diaphragm problems.

Hello jeffcat,

I have not needed one yet, I saw an installation on youtube and worked like a charm!
It comes with a gauge to set the diaphragm, as it has a new operating arm.
It came out about 6 months ago there is on video he put up on youtube,

Guido.

OK Guido!!!!! Don't need one yet but I gotta get me one of those when a carb poops out. Here is the "official " factory tech video. Took about two minutes to find it. Looks terrific. They tell you several times to be very careful. Also for all of the NAY sayers that nasty word Ethanol comes up several times too.

Factory how to.

Hello Steve@Advance,

You are seeing a metal replacement for the rubber diaphram. It comes as a Complete kit with instructions and metering valve setting tool. Personally never had issues with my Walbro carburetors. More pix for you. Second picture has old style carb rubber diaphram, which is replaced by the new kit,

Guido.

Hello jeffcat,

That is the reason for the change. As you know my main chainsaw is a promack 610. I put a 20" bar years ago and has been going strong ever since May 1981. Original fuel filter and Walbro carb. So much for ethanol tales!

Guido.

Biggest bar I have ever thrown on a 600 series saw was a 28 inch. Just for giggles and they wiil handle it but if you are running full chisel chain they will stall if you start to lean on them. The original design specs. for these saws are 16 inch. Kinda crazy. Maybe should say that is what they were shipped with. Was running one of my timber bears two weeks ago. I have three of these saws with Bow bars on them. WOW do those things ever cut if you use them correctly.

Hello Steve,

Jeffcat posted the factory link. Click on it. Better then my description,

Guido.
