I think I'm winning

Removed white rock from a driveway I no longer use. I had to break it up with the hoe before I could load it. I estimate I moved a minimum of 10 ton. The guy I get white rock charges about $22 a ton for triaxle load, 20 ton.
10 ton he would charge an additional $50 delivery charge.
So I figure I saved enough I could get a big mac.
Planning on hauling more white tomorrow. I want to have about 2 inches of white rock.
Something is wrong. I'll have to post pics later.

Dump trailer has a combo tailgate. It does a good job if you keep moving at a constant speed.

Crushed limestone = white rock.
Crush it more = Ag lime.
Our white rock has to be trucked in.
Local gravel pits are just sand and gravel (round rocks)
The white rock in my old driveway is like concrete. I can't break it loose with front bucket, have to use the hoe.
Not sure I'll be able to compact it that much with my 5000# roller.

In my area right now crushed lime is $3.20 a ton Dense grade is $12. a ton Not much difference other than a few larger pieces.

That's cheap.

My guy delivers white rock for almost the price at gravel pit where you have to haul it.
