Well that was a waste of time and patches

So the WD45 I have had a front flat tire. Pull the tube out to fix it but every time I put a patch on and air it back up to check it I found another hole. Also the tube had some sort of pink looking liquid in it so I guess some one had tried some sort of fix a flat stuff. So I guess tomorrow I'll be getting a new tube. Plus I will run my hand around inside the tire to see if I feel some thorns or other such things. Oh well better to find now then after I hook it up to the hay baler

I hope so also and hope I do not find a bunch of thorns in the tire. But if I find a bunch of thorns I know the fix to that and the old tube will be put back to work as thorn duty

make sure you use a rag or something of the sort! Those thorns don't feel good if you run you hand across one.

I have never used a rag I just carefully rub my hand around inside the tire. That was how we did it when I worked in a tire shop so that is how I have always done it.

i use an old wash cloth. the fuzzies will snag on anything sticking thru. works pretty good and being on blood thinners , i bleed a lot less!!!

Make sure you wrap a rag around your hand before you run your hand around inside the tire! Those thorns are good at cutting skin.

I just move my hand slowly so as to not cut my self but yet feel any thing that maybe there. But I do have welders hands so there a bit on the heat treated tough

That's the hell of it. A guy tries to do those things himself to save a few bucks and it ends up costing you more in the end and you have all that time stuck in it.

Still in the long run I'll save some $$. Not any good tire places around here any more. Neighbor took a tire in that had a tube in it and the tire place pulled the tube out and tied to air it up then fill it with slime since it would not hold air. The rim was not made to be run tubeless so it leaked as well as the tire it self. He called me abut it and I had a tube laying around that I put in for him and it did not go flat but he sold the tractor a month or so ago but it was still holding air

Copperhead fang was broke in a tire, old tire shop guy ran his hand in it,scraped an inch, was nuff venom he got bad sick, they just got him in hospital in time.i was 5 then never forgot that.i use a wad of cheese cloth

I learned after just one lesson to never run my hand inside a tire. I think a wrag works better anyway.

No way that could be a problem since this tractor up till a week ago had sat in my machine shed for 3 or 4 years with out me using it.

How come your not using the Oliver with the baler? The 88 is a great Tractor,,better then the A/C ,,the A/C is good,,not bashing,,but The Oliver 88 is some great old tractor

The Oliver Super 88 is on baler duty but it has the NH850 round baler behind it
