So I hit a rock with my stump jumpers shattered my bottom bearing and seal etc. So after putting everything back together shaft wasn't be t at all my gears we're good but the blades are hitting and I did the 90 degrees

Idk what else to do and suggestions????

IF you timed the blades to 90 degrees to each other they can not hit each other. Are the blades hitting each other or are they hitting the deck? Did the blades get bent when you hit the rock??

The blades are hitting each other. I don't get it at all. The gears are fine the spline don't have any teeth missing the coupling are fine idk.

Also the blades are suppose to free float right or spin? I know centrifical force keeps them out but there are hitting when I turn the PTO on I can hand spin it and the won't hit

Don,t want to argue but like JD seller says IF you timed them 90 degs out and the couplings are right no way they are hitting each other, more likely hitting the deck. I have had lots of customers complain about a banging that they did not understand. All that ever turned out to be was the blades extending when the unit first was turned on.

It would take one heck of a hit to shatter a bearing! Are you sure a gear or keyway isn't stripped and the shafts won't stay in time?

The shaft and key was is fine ah you hit in
just right the seal will go anyways. I was
picking the bearing out of the gear box

If it is timed right and every thing is fine there is no way the blades can hit no matter what their position on the stump jumpers! I had an MX8 for a couple of years, couldn't keep the bolt tight on the stump jumper on the right side. It slowly wore out the splines on the end of the shaft. Not a fan of the design, so bought a Bush Hog 3008 and never a problem. I custom mow about 300 hours a year in rock country...

Idk what I did wrong to tell ya the truth
everything went back together smooth I
checked everything before I put it back in
on. I set the blades 90 degrees I can spin
shaft driveline by hand and the blades
don't hit ask soon a I hit the PTO they hit

So they are out of time when they stop??

In the middle front is there a part of the deck that protrudes like on a lawnmower deck?kind of a curved part to direct the cut grass?if there is or something on your deck that both sides can hit while spinning that might be bent or breaking.l know on my 6? the ends of the blade bolts were hitting on the channel iron frame (had to torch a relief cut)
