NH baler tires final

I've read all the posts below and
I am fairly certain that the 5.0x
15 tire will not fit on that 6+
inch rim? I will need a wider
tire? Thanks.

I was going to stick a tube in it
and see how much it will
expand.....but I don't think it
will ever spread that far.......

Return and swap shouldn't be a
problem...just want to be 100%
sure. Thanks!

I think you are correct. Just posted on the other thread.......new right side tire on my NH315 is a 6.7 - 15 ribbed, tube type implement tire (Harvest King brand).

Your correct that 5.0 tire should be put on a 4 inch wide rim. While it could be made to go on it would push the limits of the tube and not be likely to hold up well. If it was me I'd find a 225/75RX15 car tire and put it on. To bad your so far from me I have a number of them laying around. My NH271 has an old tire off a VW bug on the pick up side

If that is on the right side then get the correct rim as that 6" rim might just not have the clearance to mount a tire without hitting the baler itself. And reversing the rim to try to get more clearance puts strain on wheel bearings.

To be correct you actually need a skinnier rim.

If you get a wider tire, watch for clearance, your rim must be dished quite a bit to fit a wider tire on there, mine does now.

The standard rim for the pickup side is a NH 86603165 which is the same 4" wheel thats used on the NH256 hay rake and a few other pieces of NH implements.
If you baler came with flotation tires it would have a 7.5L15 tire on a 6" wheel for the pickup side.
You need a bigger tire for your wheel or a smaller wheel for the tire you have.

Talked to my tire guy....he is
ordering me a 25x7.50 -15 and
taking back the skinny one. Good
to have friends....
