Trying to show photo of John Deere Red Paint I have. If this works, I will post the chemical analysis in case you want to brew up a can or two.

Shake it up good then add a little old-timer alkyd enamel reducer, spray it out real nice on something and tell the IH guys, "See, John Deere did really use red".

A little off topic. . .

In the late 70's, I was ready to paint a JD 630. I bought the JD paint in quart cans at the local JD dealer. Early Saturday morning I popped the lid on the first can and it was blue - I think Ford blue, but what do I know. Turned out every can was blue. I first thought the yellow had settled to the bottom, but no. I returned it to the dealer and tried to quietly get the counter man to take it back, but he got loud. He drew a crowd - the Saturday morning loafers were all there and they gathered round as he announced that he'd show me how to stir it up and make it green. The only thing that changed color was his face - it turned beet red. The loafers loved it. We went to the paint shelves, and every can that he had in stock was blue. I hated it for the counter guy because he was always good to me and very helpful if I had a problem with anything, but after he got loud there wasn't much that I could do to salvage things for him.

Yes, they did. Remember the Waterloo Boy. My friend had one and it had some red paint,
