And I love good BBQ. We have POP'S BBQ
bookmarked on our Google maps. It's off
I65. We have to eat there on our way to
fishing in Florida in the winter.

I guess early 50's ?? Had one like that and put a second transmission in it to get real low gearing, added real wide ballon tires and could run it down the beach in sand

In 1964 at a farm sale Dad bought a red 1950 F3 with the flathead 6 and a 4 speed.....It never
had much brakes as long as we owned it...It was mainly used around the farm...It had 7.50 x 17 tires
which weren't very common..Our Cocker Spaniel "Freckles" loved to ride in it...Around 10 PM every
night she came to the door to let us know that she was ready to spend the night in the F-3 Ford which she
did until she passed helping move cattle..The picture is me,Freckles, and Dad with our new E Gleaner in
1967..To my regret I dont have a picture of the F3 Ford..

'48 or '49......'50 had "three on the tree".
The F-1 had the 4 speed as an option....pretty rare.
Basically the same "crashamatic as used in the F-2.
I was lucky enuf to find a whole 4-speed tranny and driveshaft to put in my '50 F-1 back in the late 60s.

(quoted from post at 17:28:35 09/26/19) My 58.

Sweet truck....my brother had a '58 but it was the short bed styleside.
292 with 3 speed (no overdrive).
I'm a sucker for short bed pickups even tho they're not as practical as an 8 ft. bed for real work.
