I know that everyone likes to hear how things are resolved. I had posted about the wobble in the Schwartz wide front, on my 1941 A John Deere. Thanks go to Jan Nicholson, who said "There's play in there, somewhere." I had slid underneath it, and tried to move the tie rods up and down, and found no play. All kinds of other thing s crossed my mind. What I did was jack up one front wheel, grabbed it, and moved it from side to side. Loose and clattering. When I had installed this front end, I thought a little loose was better than a little tight. I've changed my mind. Snugged all four tied ends up, one notch of the cotter key. Took up all the lateral slack, and now I feel safe again.
