1986 jcb 1400b backhoe

I have a 1986 1400b jcb backhoe had dirt in fuel cleaned it all and new filters it goes and runs good and can rev the motor up good but when in 2,3,4 gear it s like the motor has little power, any ideas thanks

had something similar on a ford 555 backhoe, it was the torque converter. was told it had variable pitch fins inside that moved to gain more torque. ours was locked up and lost power was the result. might wanna check with dealer to see if you have something like that..

the transmission is good the day before I drove it home it was fine , it all started when the fuel was low and dirt got in it put a low pressure electric fuel pump on it because the lift pump didn t seem to be working right , seem like the motor don t rev up high enough for the backhoe to move in 2,3,4 gear I ll be going along fine in first and second gear to somewhat but soon as I hit 3 gear it slows down almost to a stop on a flat road
