I was pleasantly surprised at the writing on the side wall and the label.

Haven't seen Made in USA on the side of a tire in a while.

Price was competitive to other brands and much cheaper than the pair of Junkelins I purchased 8 years ago.

A little research says it?s Czech-owned with factories in
Europe and one in Iowa. My local Coop has been advertising
them on the radio.

Mitas bought out Continental from what I
understand. Those tires look similar to my
Continentals I have on the 8970. I've been
happy so far with them.

Built in the USA has always instilled a better product built by workers that take pride in their product made from better ingredients.

So now the question becomes is a product that is assembled in the USA by a company from a foreign country really better than the same product made in that foreign country and shipped here.

Or is it just a pig with lipstick.

I've had Continental radials on the rear of my JD 4255 for over 15 years. They've had unknown many, many miles of highway travel with little noticeable wear showing on the cleats. I wonder if Mitas tires will have as good highway travel wear?

Slur for Michelin's, paid big money for a set 8 years ago to go on my 6610 cab tractor, all I do with it is bale hay.
Leaked out the side walls after the second year so put tubes in, side walls cracked and pinched the tubes at 4 years old.
Since then we've had 13 flats, left tire has 19 boots in the side walls, left tire has 10, plus we used the old tubes has liners the last time we had them off.
They still have over 60% thread but we've moved them over to the 5000 open station tractor with not fluid in the tires, next flat they will probably get trashed not matter how much thread they still have.

Had a old set of bias tires with less than 25% thread that we threw on the 6610 last spring, haven had a single flat since but don't have much traction.

These Mitas tires are 45 degree radials, this should help with road wear going between farms.

I have a set of Firestone SAT II 23 degree tires on my 4000, good traction but road use is wearing the thread away fast.

But a set of alliance brand tire and put em on a heavy tillage tractor and you?ll find out in about 6 months how good they aren?t

They look like rice and cane tires when compared to
the 15% tread bias plys a lot of old tractors are on
that aren?t used hard

Lately I?ve found the foreign made product to be better quality and cheaper than the us product probably mostly because to many guys in the us won?t go to work for less then 30$ an hour
