Tractor Pulls

Some video of me and the 7130 magnum pulling three tractors out of the mud a few weeks ago. The ground was so soft that I did not
dare get too close so used most of my tow ropes, straps, chains to hook up. My nephew shot this. Not sure why the video is so small
sized.
Tractors In Mud

I learned years ago to send the little tractors out in the swamp and keep the big one to drag them out with. The first time I did it wrong and it took all the little ones plus the neighbors to rescue me!🤪

Yes, the 970 Case was the big tractor that went to pull the 830. Once it got stuck there was not much hope for the Massey as it is so front heavy on those skinny tires that it could not do a thing. I still had the 2090 at home but with the duals off and an 8 mile drive it was not a good option. I knew the Magnum would have no problem as long as I could get it far enough out on semi solid ground to pull. The flat nylon tow strap was 30 feet and the big plastic rope was 50 feet. Not sure how much chain they had but it was enough.

I want that 7130. I have an awesome 7120 but would love to have front wheel assist. Looks like you got a little more rain than we did.

This land is actually drying up after a decade or more under water. We are in the process of reclaiming some of it. Rain over the past couple of weeks has probably put some of it back in the unworkable category.

The best thing about this is none of the operators kept digging until they where stuck too deep. My neighbor hates to asked for help. So he will try and try until whatever is on the bellow with no hope of driving it out. I usually take the back hoe and dig ramps before we pull him anymore.

Those nylon ropes and tow straps always scare me as several years ago a son of a friend of my Dad's was pulling a a semi-truck out of a corn field with a tow strap and the hook broke at the front of the truck, strap and hook came flying back and went through the glass on the back of the cab on the tractor striking the son on the head killing him.

So be careful towing.

Yes, I've heard the stories and always keep it in mind when pulling stuck machinery, or trucks. So far no breaks.
