show. And during those years, we had so many of
the Me Douglas type folks, selling their city homes,
and buying little farms around us. They wanted their
kids to grow up with some farm life experience, and
get them out of the city. Most of these kids that I
went to school with hated it, but maybe the
experience made them better people later in life. By
better I mean, more understanding of where food
comes from, and the entire world isn?t the asphalt
and concrete make believe world of the city.

I sure wish I could find the episode where Eb had the engine out of the Hoyt.
He had it hoisted all the way to the top of the hay loft.
He and Mr Douglas were standing there arguing, the engine got dropped...
It was an uncontrolled free fall, probably 15-20 feet. The resulting crash obviously startled both of them!
Parts flew, the engine bounced off the tractor!
Had it bounced the wrong way, would have been really bad for both of them!
Maybe someone can find it.
