we always could count on one particular cattle beast finding a hole where there was none, each spring, even though we had completely walked and checked the fence around the 20 acer pasture next to the house.

Thats true, when i milked i had a heifer, bottle calf get loose.it came up my porch and pusshed screen door open n came in the house

Back in the 80?s dad couldn?t chase after cows anymore. So he used his ?long range hotshot ?. 12 gauge shotgun loaded with#8 shot at 80 yds or so.always while they were facing away not to injure an eye.he said that always made them find the hole in the fence!

when I was a kid, we lived on an acre with no critters except a inside dog and cat. One late evening, my Mom was heading to bed. As she walked past the glass door, she was startled to see movement. It was the neighbors cow, looking in. Too bad the dog was sleeping in my sister's room, or maybe he could have set off the alarm.
