Harvesting corn in Terre Haute

On the way in town this morning I noticed one corn field has been harvested.

Some beans look like they will be coming out soon.

Is this early?

I have a farmer friend a little North of you between Danville and Champaign Il. Talked to him about 10 days ago and at that time he said there would't be much harvesting there for 4 weeks. I was there in early July and some corn was high and some not too high and some short. I asked the farmer what the deal was, He said once they got started last spring they'd go for a little bit, then it would rain, then they wouldn't go for 10 days, then it did this several times and that's why the corn looked so different. I think the harvest there will be long and drawn out. Here in NW Wisconsin crops look good but are behind. This week was cool and wet, very little growth.

There was some corn shelled noth of me near taylorsville and it was 125 bushel. I hope mine is close to that but I'll be lucky to break a 100

Our spring was a killer. Some fields got planted, then rain. Same with
beans. Some beans planted early. Looks like it won't be long before they
are harvesting it too. Other beans are still green and being irrigated.

Dry land corn is coming out in central Kansas. Moisture is running around 13.1 to 14.5. Sounds like decent yield.

Corn silage just starting here,2 weeks late. 5" rain this week made a terrible muddy mess of late sweet corn fields that had to harvest.
