Didn't know kitchens were so dangerous

Since my wife has been home for a little over a week from the hospital with a broken arm. I have been doing almost everything including the kitchen. I broke a glass, and tossed it in the garbage. When I took out the bag a piece of glass was sticking out, and cut my finger real bad. Then in the last couple days I managed to hit my arm in different places removing skin. I still have a few 4-5 weeks to go. On the brighter side I have to help my wife dress. Handing her bra to her. She says it is up side down. I told her, how was I to know. I removed a few, but never had to put one back on. She didn't think that was so funny. I would mow a field full of rocks just to be able to get out of the house for a while. Stan

It?s best I not try to add on to your comments, but I certainly got a good chuckle and enjoy your comments and putting a good spin on a trying time for your wife and you.

Hope for a speedy recovery for your wife.

A year ago I got a little injury, my wife had to doctor with me for a time, it was interesting. Some fun amongst the challenges.

.......... never had to put one on.

My mother was "crippled" with a stoke........ and I was helping her dress...... and I was having bra trouble.
Mentioned that I had never had to put one of these ON.
My wife laughed!

Like I tell the wife, it is part of the deal we made many years ago. I have to help her with dressing etc. Fact is I have to buy her bra's for her as she hasn't been shopping for many years. Just got done folding up a fitted sheet. I had gone on line and got instructions from Martha and threw in my own methods along with it and they come out pretty good. I do not iron them though and that is one job the wife still does a little at a time. Not the sheets, shirts etc.

Learning a lot about cooking. I don't mind that for the two of us but when the kids come, well, some don't like this , some don't like that. But, life goes on.

Some years ago she had a stomach feeding tube put in and I tell her I fed her like a baby, every 6 hours for over 3 months. I would hook her up in the middle of the night and fall back to sleep. Some times didn't get the drip rate right so it took a long time but it made for poor sleep just like the babies did. But, I still got her so that makes me the winner, right.

I am able to go for three or fours hours at a time though to do all the other jobs, like I need to see if I can mow grass. Rain, rain, rain.

I had an uncle and aunt who had a system worked out. Her hands were weak and she struggled with hooking her bra. His fingers were clumsy and he struggled with buttoning his shirt. So he hooked her bra and she buttoned his shirt each morning. When he passed she said that is one of the things she missed the most.

Just wait till your wife cuts her foot on that piece of glass you did not find... BTDT

I now vacuum the ell out of the floor when I break a glass, get down and look the floor over good...

Yes kitchens can be really dangerous. Men have been killed there by comments concerning cornbread, biscuits and this isn't like mamma made it.
