Massey 300 combine

I have an old Massey 300 gas power combine. I don't have a manual for it, so I am asking my question here. When I checked the oil, the tube for the dip stick fell off. It appears it is a two piece tube with flanged ends, so part of the tube is still in the engine. Does this sound right? And if so, does the piece still in the engine pull out or is it threaded? Thanks in advance.

You might begin by telling us which engine you have, I believe options were a Mopar "Leaning Tower of Power" or a Perkins diesel.

Most likely The M0par 225, I'd think.

If so, remains of tube will pull out, pack remains of tube with a little heavy grease to catch the chips, and thread in a tap (also coated with grease). Likely, the tap will "catch" the tube and rotate it so it pulls out easily, otherwise thread a bolt into the threads you've made and yank it out with a slidehammer.

I BELIEVE the dipstick and tube linked below will fit your engine, verify to be sure and verify that it reads correctly when the engine has the correct amount of oil in it.

Thanks, guys. It is the Mopar gas engine, and that looks like the configuration that I have. Appreciate the advice.

The dipstick tube is a press fit . I had a Massey 300 for about eight years . Great machine and i ran a bunch of corn thru it every year custom work .
