do you need to drain the radiator to remove the head . no water pump

Yes. it gives you a chance to power wash the cooling passages around the cylinders with a power washer. (important with a thermal siphon system) coolant will also cascade all over if the head is removed without draining. Jim

Even though it has no water pump it still has water passageways in the head so yes you have to drain the cooling system or you make a very big mess. Plus always good to change oil when you pull the head because you almost always get coolant in the oil
